Carrigglass Manor: A beautifully restored Gothic Revival style Manor house built by Thomas Lefroy in 1837. The prominent Architect Daniel Robertson of Kilkenny designed the romantically castellated and turreted house, and the magnificent stable yard was designed by the internationally acclaimed James gandon. The Romantic castellated Manor, its impressive Gandon Stables, gardens and museum are open to the public from May to September Starting at Carrigglass Manor heading towards Ballinalee visit the blacksmith forge the home of General Sean Mckeoin from Ballinaleethe road to Aughnacliffe ( Crossing the hill of Molly). In Aughnacliffe turn you can visit the Dolmens. From here go in to Arva have a look in the shops. Take the Longford road heading towards Drumlish but detouring to Ballinamuck where the famous battle took place in 1798. From Drumlish head back to Ballinalee visiting Cairn Hill the highest point in the county you can climb Cairn Hill for to see the beautiful views it has to offer. That's if you have any Energy left after your day of touring.
